Preparation For Barium Enema and Screening Examination
Instructions to the Patient
Low Residue Diet
No laefy vegetables ( Green vegetables)
Plenty of fluids
No solids, but can have plain liquids till examination.
Please bring a bed sheet and a cotton sarong / gown.
NOTE
Examination will take about an hour.
If you are unable to keep this appointment .Please inform the X' Ray Department without delay.
Preparation For Barium Meal and Follow Through Screening Examination
Instructions to the Patient
Need 6 hour fasting
Barium Meal Examination will take about half an hour
For Barium Meal and follow through examination probably you will have to be in the X' Ray Department for about 1 -3 hours but occasionally further times may be required at intervals through the day or even the next day
NOTE
If you are unable to keep this appointment, please inform the X' Ray Department without delay.
