One of the most advanced laser vision correction procedures available in the world. To treat nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. This laser is a "cold laser" that does not burn or cut tissue. It literally vaporizes tissue away one microscopic layer at a time to gently reshape the cornea for optimum vision.
A microkeratome is used to create a paper-thin flap on the front surface of the cornea. The computer -controlled laser is then programmed, with the data your doctor has determined, to gently remove the precise amount of microscopic layers of the exposed corneal tissue. After the cornea is reshaped, the flap is then repositioned.
