CRITICAL CARE UNITS

 

Nawaloka Hospital pioneered the establishment of Critical Care Units at the inception in 1986 with 7 beds. Over the years this hospital has established Medical Intensive Care Units. These Units operate under Resident Consultant Physicians and Anesthetists who are supported by specially trained Nursing and Para Medical Personal.


 

 






All intensive Care Units, Operating Theatres and Emergency services are supplied by central medical gas facilities.

The hospital has the latest technology, liquid oxygen, cryogenic storage facilities for Oxygen at –183C. This enables the hospital to have a reserve of two weeks of medical oxygen in its premises. This is the first and the only such facility in a private hospital in Sri Lanka.
