Message from the Chairman

The vision and foresight of an entrepreneur who started a small scale trading business in the post-war era has developed into one of the giant business organisations in Sri Lanka.

Apart from over 4500 employees within this conglomerate in this country, there are over 500 Sri Lankans employed abroad in organisations affliated to the Nawaloka Group.

Nawaloka Hospital is yet another project initiated by the Group Chairman, which commenced in 1985. In recognition of his unique entrepreneurship and invaluable services to the community, Mr. H.K. Dharmadasa was conferred the state of honour of Deshabandu and subsequently the highest honour Deshamanya

About Nawaloka Hospital

Nawaloka Hospital was established in September 1985 under the Chairmanship of Deshamanya H.K.Dharmadasa with the objective of establishing it as a center of excellence in high technology diagnostic and curative facilities.

Healing of the sick being the primary objective, " Healing with Feeling " became this Hospital of tomorrow. Located at Union Place, Colombo 02 in very close proximity to the business center and within easy reach from the General Hospital and other many commercial establishment.

Nawaloka Hospitals have many "first" to their credit. Introduction of Intensive Care Units, Coronary Care Units, Laparoscopic Surgery and Thoracic Surgery are some of them.

Whilst respecting professional ethics and maintaining a high level of professionalism, Nawaloka Hospitals have provided medical care at international level. National Quality Award was presented to Nawaloka Hospitals as a testimony to its excellence in service.
